Except for the first leg of the trip (13th Street / 441 vs. I-75), the two sets of directions below are pretty much the same. There are no tolls and no going through Orlando. There is, however, a large amount of Ocala National Forest. To avoid confusion, the complete directions are listed for both options.
The trip from Gainesville to Titusville takes about 2.5 hours, but you might want to figure 3 hours because of the fires. The smoke was really bad last time I made the trip in the morning.
Option 1:
Take 13th Street / US-441 south to SR-326. The intersection has a Kash'n'Karry. Turn left (east), and take SR-326 to SR-40 (where SR-326 dead-ends). Turn left (east) and take SR-40 to I-95. Go south on I-95 to Titusville. If you're going straight to the church, take the Mims exit (#223) and go left (east) under the overpass. Turn right (south) at the blinking yellow traffic light onto Holder Road. Holy Spirit Catholic Church 0.2 miles down the road on the left.
Option 2:
Take I-75 south to SR-326 (exit #358). Turn left (east) under the I-75 overpass, and take 326 to SR-40 (where 326 dead-ends). Turn left (east) and take SR-40 to I-95. Go south on I-95 to Titusville. If you're going straight to the church, take the Mims exit (#223) and go left (east) under the overpass. Turn right (south) at the blinking yellow traffic light onto Holder Road. Holy Spirit Catholic Church 0.2 miles down the road on the left.
Directions to Hotels:
If you're staying at the Super 8, your hotel is on the east side of the interstate at the next exit down (#220, FL-406 / Garden Street). If you're at one of the other hotels, your hotel is at the next interstate exit after that (#215, SR-50 / Cheney Highway).
